Tee Off
You have reached the final hole. Another long par 4, especially into the wind, which is the norm on most days. Out-of-bounds to the right, so a good straight drive is the order of the day to end on a good note, Take note of the scenery, which will surely bring you back to our beautiful course.
Approach
For the average golfer, your approach shot is going to be challenging because you have a front right bunker and a small sunken valley on the left, known as "the Valley of Sin". Watch your pin placement and plan accordingly and most will be grabbing for their 3 metals because it's a long long approach, especially into the wind.
The Green
The green runs narrow and long, with a large run-off on the left hand side into "the valley of sin", but this is probably your best option depending on your chipping. Right bunker, if your bunker play is good, isn't too bad either if you're happy with a 5 on this par 4. A 4 here will feel like a birdie. The green also runs slightly from back to front, leveling out in the middle. Be happy with one over and head for the 19th hole because a par is a bonus on most days.
Enjoy the 19th many consider the best part of golfing. During the winter months you're able to watch whales and dolphins frolicking in the sea in front of you. Umkomaas Golf Club will certainly welcome you back.
