Tee Off

A challenging par 4 that is not to be over-looked, with the out-of-bounds boundary fence running the full side of the right hand side of the fairway. If you're right and not out of bounds, you have rough, cart paths and trees to contend with, which will certainly hinder your ability to hit a difficult green. The key here is to find the middle of the fairway and the length of your drive will determine your approach shot. Placement is key to setting up a good second shot. Risk will reap reward on this hole, as a good drive will leave the longer hitters with a wedge to gap wedge in their hands for their approach.

Approach

Your approach on to this green needs to be accurate, not matter what club you use. As the green is narrow, elevated, long and with run-offs on either side. Due to it's elevation it also has as a false front. Your shot should hit middle to front of the green to ensure it holds, and did I mention it must be straight?! A good miss here would be right of the green, which will give you the best opportunity to get up and down. Left is a nightmare, needing an expert chip out of rough terrain. No matter where the pin is placed, the middle of this green is a safe choice at birdie or a safe par. Many a golfer has considered a 5 on this hole as being well played.

The Green

The 7th green is the least receptive green and your ball can run on after what you would consider a good shot. With slants on each side of the green it is easy to miss or run-off. Tricky angles depending on pin placement makes putting on this green difficult to read. A two putt has to be considered satisfactory. Take chances on this green at your peril.
